Bangladeshi artistes in highlight

Entertainment Desk, Staff Reporter, Apon Chowdhury, Dhaka Office: Bangladeshi artistes in highlight, In certification of their large fanfare in West Bengal, several Bangladeshi artistes are acting at the ten-day Jodhpur Park Festival that kicked off in Kolkata the day gone by. On the inaugural day, Rabindra Sangeet exponent Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya amazed audience together with her rendition of several Tagore songs.

Other than Bannya, Dr Nashid Kamal, Akhi Alamgir, Ayub Bachchu and Swapnil Sajib are also set to perform at the event.
Kamal and Bachchu are scheduled to take the degree on Monday whilst Sajib will carry out on January 10. The chairman of the pageant committee, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay, stated, “The competition is celebrating ‘Bangladesh Day’ on January eight. The invited artistes from Bangladesh may be honoured by means of the deputy excessive commissioner of Bangladesh embassy on the competition that day.”

Many prominent Indian artistes, which include Jeet Ganguly, Zubeen Garg, Kunal Ganjawala, Indranil Sen, Nachiketa, Lopamudra Mitra, Rupam Islam, Chondrobindu, Raghav, Rupankar, Monomoy, Iman Chakraborty, Riddhi Bandyopadhyay, Jojo and Rituparna with Sengupta Ballet troop and lots of others, are also performing at the competition.
