Politics Desk, Tanvir Ahamed Shawon, Staff Reporter, Dhaka Office: SUST BCL leader held over factional conflict, Police have arrested a vice-president of Shahjalal Science and Technology University (SUST) unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) over a factional clash on the campus that left a pupil wounded via a bullet.

Syed Juyem became picked up from the college campus on Wednesday night, said officer-in-price of Jalalabad Police Station Shafiqul Islam.

Earlier within the day, another vice-president of the BCL unit Tariqul Islam filed a case against 10 named BCL men, together with Syed Juyem and unit joint popular secretary Ashraful Alam Antu, and 10 unnamed ones over the clash that happened between agencies of the ruling party’s student wing.

Bangladesh Chhatra League additionally expelled principal committee members Abu Sayeed Akanda and Sazidul Islam Sabuj and suspended 10 BCL guys over the conflict.

Those were suspended are Syed Juyem, Antu, SUST BCL organising secretary Dolan Ahmed, deputy liberation battle affairs secretary Laksan Chandra Barman, members Munkar Kazi, Toufiqur Rahman Tanmay, Basir Miah, Meher Uddin Himel, Raihan Ahmed and Shariful Malik Sharif.

Earlier on Tuesday night time, SM Abdullah Rony, a scholar of Food Engineering and Technology branch, changed into injured in the course of the BCL factional clash at the campus.
