HC stays joining of recently named head of Viqarunnisa

The High Court has remained till tomorrow the joining of recently delegated head of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Professor Fouzia Raozan.

The court today asked Deputy Attorney General Amit Das Gupta to guarantee that Fouzia doesn’t join the post of the chief till 11:00am tomorrow.

The High Court seat of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice MD Khairul Alam passed the request while hearing a writ appeal recorded by Supreme Court legal advisor Advocate Eunus Ali Akond testing Fouzia’s arrangement.

In the appeal, he said that the administering group of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College is the specialist to delegate its head though the legislature has expert to choose the instructors.

Be that as it may, the legislature has wrongfully selected Fouzia as the head of the organization on September 15 however it has no ward to do as such according to applicable standards and guidelines, he said in the request.

During the conference, DAG Amit Das Gupta told the court that he will put before the HC the applicable law under which the legislature has named Fouzia as the head of the organization.

Afterward, the court passed the request and deferred becoming aware of the writ appeal till 11:00am tomorrow.

In 2018, head Nazneen Ferdous and two different instructors of the establishment were expelled over the suicide of Aritry Adhikari, an understudy of the school.

Afterward, the specialists worried of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College designated its associate educator Hasina Begum acting head.
