Turkey has started chip away at structure a maritime warship which will be offered to Pakistan as a feature of an arrangement marked in 2018, a media report said on Monday.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made the declaration during a function on Sunday to check the initiation for the development of the warship named MILGEM, Geo News revealed, reports Hindustan Times.
Pakistan Navy Commander Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi and Erdogan cut the primary metal plate of the first of the four MILGEM Ada class corvette during the service.
While two corvettes will be worked in Turkey, the following two will be worked in Pakistan through innovation move.
MILGEM vessels are 99 meters in length, have an uprooting limit of 24,00 tons and a speed of 29 nautical miles.
In July 2018, Pakistan Navy had marked an agreement for the procurement of four MILGEM-class ships from Turkey.
