JU Students Front protesting for 3 point demand

Activist of Socialist Student Front Jahangirnagar University (JU) Branch are protesting for a three-point demand, including guestroom and dormitory torture in the name of instructing manner at the campus today.

As a part of the protest, the agitating students arranged a human chain in front of the university`s Amar Ekush sculpture on Monday (October 28) at noon.

The speakers demanded effective action to prevent the mentality of possession and domination of Chhatra League activist illegally. They also urged the university administration to remove the corrupt.

Sushmita Mariam, president of the Socialist Student Front JU Branch, said, “BCL is oppressing the fresher’s students taking the responsibility of giving seats in every hall of JU. It is not perceptible that why BCL has taken this responsible instead of the university authority.”

“What is the duty of the university administration? If the ragging is going on as usual, We strongly condemn the corruption that the university administration is trying to establish by BCL. Despite allegations of corruption, the administrator continues to hold power. We must protect the University from irregularities and possession through the collective resistance of all.” She added.

General Secretary Mohammad Didar, said,” , “Autonomy should be ensured at the university. The administration will not discriminate against any particular organization. To prevent these misconduct, an effective role must be taken to remove the corruption from the university.”

Conducting by Shobhan Rahman, Organizing Secretary of Students Front JU Branch, leaders and activist of the organization spoke on the human chain.
