Indo-Bangla shipping secretary-level gathering starts

The secretary-level gathering between the Shipping Ministries of Bangladesh and India starts on Wednesday at the Inter Continental Dhaka.

Sources uncovered that the gathering will be a noteworthy one in light of the fact that the under-development Matarbari remote ocean port, Bangladesh, and Dhamra port on the shore of the Bay of Bengal in the Indian province of Odisha will be proclaimed as “Port of call”.

There are 12 ports of call between two nations; including Bangladesh’s Mongla port and India’s Karimganj seaport.

A public statement from the Bangladesh Ministry of Shipping said that Secretary Abdus Samad and his Indian partner Gopal Krishna will lead their separate sides, in the immensely significant two-day meeting.
