Myanmar Navy confines 17 Bangladeshi anglers

Individuals from Myanmar Navy kept 17 Bangladeshi anglers and held onto their trawler for ‘erroneously’ barging in into the sea limit of the nation early Friday.

Specialists of Bangladesh Coast Guard were making a decent attempt to bring back the confined Bangladeshi resident, as per media reports.

Lieutenant Commander M Hamidul Islam, media official of the Coast Guard affirmed this to media.

He stated, “The angling pontoon, conveying 17 Bangladeshi anglers, entered oceanic limit of neighboring nation Myanmar after the motor of the water vehicle got useless in the previous evening. At one phase, individuals from Myanmar Navy got the seventeen people close to Saint Martin’s Island in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar as their angling pontoon entered the oceanic limit.”

“We are attempting to speak with the specialists of Myanmar Navy. Activities are in progress to bring back those kept Bangladeshi Nation through exchange,” Hamidul Islam included.
