Awami League hopeful Ekramul Haque Titu was chosen uncontested as the principal civic chairman of Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC).
Returning Officer (RO) and Regional Election Officer Md Alimuzzaman affirmed the issue to Banglanews Wednesday (April 17) evening.
The declaration will turn out in a paper in the wake of holding decisions to councilor posts on May 5, he said.
Ekramul Haque Titu was chosen uncontested after Jatiya Party selected competitor Jahangir Ahmed had pulled back his office.
Jatiya Party Mymensingh metropolitan unit president Jahangir Ahmed documented the request with Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday early afternoon.
Ekramul Haque Titu is the Mymensingh metropolitan unit Awami League VP.
He filled in as the civic chairman of Mymensingh Municipality for straight nine and a half years.
On May 5, EC will hold races to rest of the posts of MCC, the twelfth city company of the nation.
