Khaleda’s bail supplication dismissed in Zia magnanimous join case

The High Court today rejected bail request of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia regarding Zia Charitable Trust defilement case.

The HC seat of Justice Obaidul Hassan and Justice SM Kuddus Zaman passed the dismissal request considering gravity of the offense referenced for the situation, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) legal advisor Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan disclosed to The Daily Star.

The HC in the request said that the lower court indicted Khaleda and condemned her to seven years’ detainment after the HC and the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court finished all periods of preliminary procedures tested by Khaleda Zia, the ACC legal advisor included.

On October 29 a year ago, Khaleda was sentenced and imprisoned by an exceptional court in Dhaka regarding the unite case.

The ACC recorded the body of evidence against the previous chief with Tejgaon Police Station on August 8, 2011.
