U19 tri-country: Bangladesh versus India match deserted because of downpour

Downpour played spoilsport in the match among Bangladesh and India in Under-19 tri-country competition at Beckenham in England on Wednesday, driving the two groups to share the focuses.

The match anyway was immaterial as both of the group had officially affirmed the last. The third group, the hosts England Under-19 was killed from the race before.

In the wake of sharing the focuses, Bangladesh affirmed that they would head into the last as table topper.

Bangladesh gathered 11 points in the wake of playing every one of the eight matches of the gathering stage. India and England had 8 and 3 individually after seven games. India will take on England in the last match of the gathering before playing the last against Bangladesh on August 11.

Anyway after four matches in the gathering stage the two India and Bangladesh won one against one another while the remainder of the two matches were washed out.

Bangladesh won three matches against England and one was washed out.

India figured out how to score 244 preceding being full scale in 49.3 overs in the last gathering match against Bangladesh. Captain Shubhang Hegde was the top-scorer with 69 while Sameer Rizvi made 44.

Shoriful Islam, Avishek Das and Shamim Hossain guaranteed three wickets each for Bangladesh young people.

The Junior Tigers were in dubious position with 19-2 in 5.5 overs before downpour interceded lastly constrained the umpires to cancel the game.
