Swiss vacationers attacked by way of gang in India

Khaled Hossain Tappu, International Swiss couple have been attacked at Fatehpur Sikri, a monument 44km (27 miles) from the Taj Mahal, Indian police say.

A senior police officer instructed BBC Hindi that four guys attacked Quentin Jeremy Clerc and Marie Droz after a controversy on Sunday in Agra district.

Local media suggested on Wednesday that Mr Clerc had suffered a fractured cranium and Ms Droz had fractures to her hand.

They are being dealt with at a health center in Delhi. No arrests had been made.

Mr Clerc instructed newspaper that the argument began after the men began taking pix of them.

The report quoted police as pronouncing they’d compelled Ms Droz to take selfies with them, and persevered to comply with them for an hour, earlier than attacking them with sticks.

Agra’s Superintendent of Police, Amit Pathak, stated the suspects had been diagnosed and would be arrested soon.

“The couple got here to the police station and we took them to a sanatorium for treatment. They did not want to report a record, however we’ve still registered a case against four guys,” he stated.

India’s Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday requested the government in Uttar Pradesh kingdom to put up a record within the case.
