Marshall Island President Dr Hilda Heine arrived before the actual arranged time long periods of today on a two-day visit to go to the “Dhaka
Meeting of the Global Commission on Adaptation (GCA)”.
Outside Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen got the leader of the Pacific
island country at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Head administrator Sheik Hasina will introduce the one-day meeting on
Wednesday morning at Hotel InterContinental where Ban Ki-moon, the current
seat of GCA, will address a session titled “Route forward and following stage towards environmental change adjustment”.
Prior to the debut session, Prime Minister Sheik Hasina will hold a
meeting with the Marshall Island President and the previous UN boss at the
same lodging to talk about different issues identified with environmental change adjustment
President Hilda began her visit here today by going to a preliminary
meeting at Hotel InterContinental in front of the tomorrow’s ‘Dhaka Meeting on GCA’ to talk about different issues including quickening adjustment activity and
support from Bangladesh and around the globe.
Condition, Forest and Climate Change Minister M Shahab Uddin, CEO of
Worldwide Commission for Adaptation focus Dr Patrick V Verkooijen, Executive
VP and Managing Director of World Resources Institute Manish
Bapna and CGA Commissioner and Executive Director of BRAC Muhammad Musa moreover
gone to the preliminary gathering.
Toward the evening, Marshall Island President Hilda will go to Bangabhaban to hold a gathering with President Abdul Hamid.
The Marshal Island president and Ban Ki-moon are additionally planned to visit Rohingya camps and Khrushkul Special Asrayan Project at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar
tomorrow around lunchtime in the wake of going to the gathering toward the beginning of the day.
Dr Hilda is planned to leave Dhaka in the early long periods of Thursday while
the remote clergyman will be available at the airplane terminal to see her off.
