JU BCL holds discussion on Bangabandhu

Bangladesh Chatra League (BCL) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit organized a discussion session on Bangabandhu on Friday night on the university campus here.
JU BCL organized the programme at the common room of A F M Kamaluddin hall to mark the national Mourning day and 44th martyrdom anniversary of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Hall provost and also the proctor of the university A S M Firoz Ul Hasan addressed the programme as chief guest where Mahmudul Hasan Parag was in chair.

Addressing the function, A S M Firoj Ul Hasan said, ‘Bangabandhu has played a vital role to build up good relationships with the capitalist countries with his wise diplomacy, the economy of the war-torn Bangladesh was feeble though’.

‘Comparison between Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia is illogical. Some of the group are still practicing this. Tarek Zia said in his speech in the programme of Chhatra Shibir that Chhatra Dal and Chhatra Shibir are two flowers in a spring. Which has a recorded statement. So, the speech of liberation in their mouth is just awkward. he added.”

JU BCL president Jewel Rana said, ‘Bangabandhu was a liberal man since his childhood. He spent most of his life in prison for the achievement of his country. He realized that could be achieved if the students of Bengal could unite the society. So, he created BCL for forming the nation unite.”

Minhajul Morshed Sadi conducted the programme where Co treasure of the unit Majedul Huq Bayejid, Library secretary Mahbubul Huq Rafa, International affair secretary K. M. Sanjid Ferdous spoke among others.

Over hundreds of leaders and activists were present at the function.
